Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living is proud to announce that our very own Board President, Steven Steele, is one of the Jefferson Award recipients this year. The awards are given to outstanding local volunteers for their selfless and on-going services in our community. The Jefferson Award is considered to be the nation’s highest honor in public service. Steven will be recognized on April 27th at an awards event where one of the recipients will be chosen to represent Brazos Valley at the national awards ceremony. In addition to the efforts he puts in here at BVCIL, Steven is a practicing attorney at Davis & Davis who manages to find the time to deliver groceries for Elder Aid, is active with the Boys and Girls Club of the Brazos Valley, helps out with Habitat for Humanity, and is involved with the Newman 10 Awards. KBTX will be airing the 12th Annual Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 27th, at 6:30pm live from the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Congrats Steven and thanks for all you have done and continue to do, BVCIL is proud to have you on our team!
