A second chance,
A second date,
Food that is always better the second day,
And all things that are sweeter the second time around . . .
The Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living (BVCIL) will host its second annual Dining in the Dark event on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the College Station Hilton to raise funds to increase accessible transportation options for people with disabilities in the Brazos Valley.
So what is Dining in the Dark? This coming February, the event will once again feature a meal in complete darkness served by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The evening will be a journey of sounds, smells, tastes, and conversation. Complementary activities will include a series of sensory experiences, except for sight, of course, and a raffle.
Tables of 10 are still available for reserved purchase. Individual, Couple, and Sweetheart Package and tickets are on sale now on the event web site at http://www.dininginthedarkbcs.com, or at the BVCIL office located at 1869 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan. Raffle tickets will be sold at the door the evening of the event.
Sponsorships are also still very much welcome. Sponsorship forms are available from the event web site or the BVCIL office.
Dining in the Dark sold out last year, and we expect the same this year, so don’t hesitate! Seconds count! For those of you who participated last year, thank you, and do come back to have seconds with us this year.
It’s second nature,
But certainly not second-best!
