Steven Steele is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Steven is a cum laude graduate of both Texas A&M University and Baylor University School of Law (J.D. 1976) and hails from Victoria, Texas. His experience includes his service as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1980. Steven served as President (1995-96) of the Brazos County Bar Association, is a member and Chairman (1999-2000) of the State Bar of Texas District 8-A Grievance Committee, and served as a State Bar director. He is a member of the American Association for Justice and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Steven Steele’s areas of practice are personal injury trial law, civil trial law and eminent domain. He is currently the President and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of BVCIL. He is a 2015 Jefferson Award Recipient. He is involved in Habitat for Humanity and the Bryan Rotary Club. He is also a supporter of The Arc of Bryan/College Station. He is also a former board member of the Aggieland Humane Society and is a supporter of the Brazos Valley Booster Club, Inc. He is an active and giving member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He credits his time at Texas A&M with having a direct impact on his commitment to community service.

Robert Carter, Member

Dr. Robert Carter has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Florida, MSED Counseling from Western Carolina University, and a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina. Among his many talents, Dr. Carter is a musician, songwriter, and guitarist. He is an expert in all things Apple and accessibility – providing valuable resources and insight to BVCIL staff and our community. His generous heart, knowledge, and kind spirit make him a prominent member of our board and we are grateful for his desire to support BVCIL.
