Connecting People to the Power of Independence

Peer Support

Peer support refers to one-to-one and small group support provided by someone who also has a disability. It is NOT professional counseling.  The purpose of peer support is to facilitate individuals with disabilities in asserting control over personal circumstances and choices to increase their independence. BVCIL staff members and volunteers who have personal experience with disability are available to help you look at your options, solve problems and learn new skills.

For more information about peer support, please call our office at 979-776-5505 or contact us by email at info@bvcil.org.
